Back then, stock certificates were issued and shareholder records were kept entirely "by hand".We inaugurated this section of our website mostly for the fun of it - and to record, for history, some of the wacky and not-so-wacky ways of the securities industry - some of the fascinating "characters" that shaped the business - and some of the devilishly clever ways that business was done, pre-computers.
